Setting

The clouds streak above the tower as a torrent of armored warriors slice through one another in a horrific display of blood, guts, and inhumane carnage. The weapons they carry are designed to inflict diabolic damage on their enemies. Evidence of the evolution of these weapons can be seen in the slaughter. Rallies of war are met with screams of defeat as the armored titans plunge headlong into one another.

One of the warriors, a maniac in black armor seems to rise from the chaos of the milieu like a giant. In his hands he holds a massive spiked ball attached to a chain. Blood and chunks of bone slide in slow motion from the massive spikes on the ball as the war rages around. The warrior grips his weapon and whirls it madly on a flat arc above his head. In a moment the whirring, spiked ball collides with the head of an enemy sending chunks of bone and brain and iron into the air. Then, another head explodes as the ball rips through it with the same terror.

The warrior topples two more of his enemies in a collage of steel and screams. Blood and mud spackle his face in a violent burst. He swings his great weapon again and lodges it with heavy thunk into the torso of a huge, raving man. The spikes on the ball seem to heave as the beast goes down and tiny fountain of blood spring from his wounds.

The maniac in black unsheathes a long sword that is already stained in crimson and streaked with fury. With violent abandon he swings and chops his way into the onslaught only to be struck down by several blades piercing his armor, and then his flesh, and finally his organs. He falls face first into the mud as his life runs from him and mixes in the squalor of the fight.
